“Content” means any and all written, visual, video, or audio information contained on the Site, including, but not limited to, any and all emails received from Krista Schaefer Pickle, Modern Nutrition Journal, Modern Nutrition NW, LLC, and www.modernnutritionjournal.com, and any and all written or downloadable material purchased, viewed, or otherwise offered on modernnutritionjournal.com, such as blog posts, courses, graphics, designs, documents, information, templates and materials.
“Personal Information” means information that can be used on its own or in conjunction with other information to identify, contact, or locate a person, or to identify an individual in context. “Site, Courses, Services, and/or Products” means www.modernnutritionjournal.com Content, blog posts, email list, social media posts, Modern Nutrition Journal Reflections, courses, guides, eBooks, forms, worksheets, workbooks, website materials, workshops, and/or templates available on the Site.

When you access the Site, the Company will learn certain information about you during your visit.

If you’re just viewing the Site, you won’t be required to provide personal information to browse.

6. How do we use your Personal Information?
The Company collects your information in order to record and support your participation in the activities you select. If you register to download a book or resources, sign up for our newsletter, and/or purchase a product from us, we collect your information. We use this information to track your preferences and to keep you informed about the products and services you have selected to receive and any related products and/or services. As a visitor to this Site, you can engage in most activities without providing any personal information. It is only when you seek to download resources and/or register for services that you are required to provide information.
We use personal information for purposes of presenting our Site and its contents to you, providing you with resources and information, providing you with offers for products and services, providing you with information about your downloads and products, carrying out any contract between you and the Company, administering our business activities, providing customer service, and making available other items and services to our customers and prospective customers.

We aim to make your visit to our Site as safe as possible. The Site uses commercially acceptable methods of security protection to protect your information. We also use an SSL certificate.

By viewing, using, or purchasing on or from the Site, Courses, Services, and/or Products, you acknowledge that Modern Nutrition Journal and its staff and independent contractors may access your Personal Information.

14. CAN-SPAM Act of 2003:
The CAN-SPAM Act is a U.S. law which establishes rules for commercial email messages, gives you the right to stop certain commercial emails from being sent to you, and outlines certain penalties for commercial entities or persons who violate the law.
We collect your email address and name so we can:
• Send information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions.
• Process orders and to send information and updates pertaining to orders of a course, product, or service.
• Send you additional information related to your course, product and/or service.

• Email you a newsletter with free information and advertising certain Products, Services, and/or Courses we offer.
In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, all e-mails sent from the Company will clearly state who the e-mail is from and provide clear information on how to contact the sender. In addition, all e-mail messages will also contain concise information on how to remove yourself from our mailing list so that you receive no further e-mail communication from us.
Our emails provide users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us and our partners by reading the unsubscribe instructions located at the bottom of any e-mail they receive from us at any time.
